Here are the Most Admired Companies in Indonesia

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com: Indonesia Fortune Magazine released list of the most admired companies in Indonesia. This was the second year for Fortune Magazine in releasing the list.

Chief Executive of Officer (CEO) of Kompas Gramedia, Agung Adiprasetyo said that this award would encourage the Indonesian Company to be globally acknowledged.

,Companies acknowledgement, which is well considered and worth of admiration will be the main focus of Indonesia Fortune Magazine because we hope there will be more Indonesia company that is globally acknowledged., Agung stated while opening the Fortune Indonesia Most Admired Companies (FIMAC) at Atrium Hall Sampoerna Strategic Square Jakarta, Thursday (2/5/2013).

Agung added, in finding the 20 companies in the FIMAC, Indonesia Fortune Magazine collaborate with Hay Group Indonesia. Hay Group conducted survey if 20.000 respondents in Indonesia.

Respondent,s name derived from the directory containing companies in Indonesia in various fields of business. The respondents were leaders and key persons in the company by answering the question that was submitted.

Survey was taken from 1st September 2012 to 31st January 2013. In this survey, each respondent was asked to choose three companies that they admired in every industrial sector listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) / Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) based on nine criteria.

The nine criteria were management quality, product or services quality, innovation, value as long-term investment, strong financial position, ability to attract, develop and maintain the potential employee, responsible to the community and environment, wisely use the company asset, effectively run the business regionally and globally. 

,Names of the companies which are chosen by the respondent refer to 150 Fortune,s List, it is a list of the big companies in Indonesia according to income and market capitalization., He added.
